The Lanesborough grand re-opening in winter 2015 under Oetker Collection

Oetker Collection, which owns and manages some of the best-known hotels in the world, is to bring its expertise to the United Kingdom for the first time and will manage one of London’s most celebrated addresses, The Lanesborough.

The Lanesborough prepares for its grand re-opening spring 2015, complete with newly furnished rooms, luxury suites, a spacious lobby, and a colonial-style exterior that fits right in with London’s traditional yet exquisite architecture.

Oetker Collection, who operates some of the most coveted hotels in the world, will come to London to oversee the renovations and use its signature design and services for the grand opening in 2015 after 18 months of complete renovation.

Under Oetker Collection management, this iconic London hotel,  will offer to the discerning traveler a totally new design combining old-world European traditional architecture with modern luxuries. The hotel will offer rooms complete with king-sized beds, a large wooden desk for any type of work, a dresser with an oak finish to store all clothing and accessories, a lounge area near the window so guests may enjoy the beautiful view of downtown London, and much more.  The renovation will embody the signature style that has become synonymous with The Lanesborough over its long history, signed by late interior designer Alberto Pinto
For guests that want more space to entertain or provide more room for families, the hotel will also feature guest suites that come standard with a living room, two large bedrooms, a spacious dining area, plenty of small tables to keep accessories organized, and a relaxing jacuzzi for bathing. For guests that want a little something more than the luxury rooms provide, the luxury suites will accommodate all their needs.
Guests will also enjoy a fine dining setting in restaurantApsleys and  the Library bar, housing the “Liquid History”, a collection of vintage cognacs, some of which are over 200 years old.  Guests will also enjoy the Garden Room, the first and most luxurious cigar terrace in Knightsbridge and the best cigar lounge in London.
Frank Marrenbach, CEO Oetker Collection, said  “The Lanesborough will be a perfect sister hotel with Le Bristol Paris, offering two major urban hotels on each side of the Channel and creating exciting synergies between both hotels and the entire Collection.”
At the London Hotel, guests are treated with world-class service, with staff ready to cater to every request. All rooms come standard with a butler to deliver any additional items that the guests may need. Geoffrey Gelardi, Managing Director, The Lanesborough declared: “We are delighted to join the Oetker Collection which embodies the finest of traditional European hospitality. We think our guests will love the new design and style of service when The Lanesborough re-opens in spring, maintaining its continued success since 1991. After 18 months of complete renovation, our aim is to resume our premier position in the London market.”
